By scheduling a service, visiting our website, or communicating with us, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully — they’re designed to be simple, clear, and fair for both you and our team.

1. Who We Are

Task-Smart is a locally owned handyman and installation service serving the Polk County area, including Davenport, Haines City, and surrounding communities. We specialize in installations, light home upgrades, and maintenance tasks for homeowners, renters, and property managers.

2. Booking and Estimates

  • Estimates are free and provided based on the information you share.

  • Final pricing may vary slightly depending on actual site conditions, materials, or changes to the scope of work.

  • Appointments are confirmed only after you receive written or digital confirmation from Task-Smart.

  • Some services (such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work beyond basic fixture replacements) may require a licensed subcontractor.

3. Payment and Invoicing

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • We accept major payment methods including card, digital invoice, and cash.

  • Late or missed payments may result in additional charges if collection efforts are required.

  • Deposits may be required for large or custom projects.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the appointment at no charge.

  • Cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours may be subject to a service fee.

  • Task-Smart reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, emergencies, or unforeseen conditions.

5. Warranty and Satisfaction

  • We stand behind our workmanship. If there’s an issue directly related to the service we performed, notify us within 7 days and we’ll make it right where reasonable.

  • Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, alteration, or unrelated causes after service completion.

6. Limitations of Service

  • We do not perform major construction, structural, or code-required trade work that requires a specialty license.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring property access, safe working conditions, and truthful disclosure of known hazards.

  • Task-Smart is not responsible for pre-existing damage or hidden conditions not visible at the time of service.

7. Liability

  • Task-Smart carries standard business insurance appropriate for local handyman operations.

  • Our liability for any claim related to services performed shall not exceed the total amount paid for that specific service.

8. Communications

By contacting or booking with Task-Smart, you consent to receive scheduling, confirmation, and promotional messages by text or email. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect new policies or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
